CAPE COD HEALTH CARE DEDICATES FAMILY ROOM TO RICHARD AND ANASTASIA MORGANO

Long time Chatham Mens Club member Richard Morgano  and his wife, Anastasia, were recognized in a most special way via the dedication of the Morgano Family Meeting Room within the new Trachel Neuroscience Institute building in Hyannis on September 8, 2023.

The Morgano Family Meeting Room is a welcoming space where families facing a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease will receive counseling addressing a myriad of issues in a private environment.

Richard has been a tireless volunteer and Board Member of Alzheimer’s Services of Cape Cod and the Islands.  He has worked hard to raised awareness of the disease and participated in numerous fundraising initiatives to fund research to find a cure for Alzheimer’s.

Morgano has been a member of the Chatham Mens Club since 2010 and served as Moderator in 2014.  Despite recently moving to Plymouth he has remains affiliated with the Club as a non-resident member.

THREE CHATHAM MENS CLUB MEMBERS CHAIR HIGH PROFILE TOWN BOARDS AND COMMITTEES

The 2023-24 membership of the Chatham Mens Club includes three members who are leading some of the Town’s most important Boards and Committees.

Dr. Noble Hanson is currently chairing Chatham’s Board of Health, a position he inherited from yet another club member, John Beckley.  The Historical Commission has been under the direction of longtime chair, Frank Messina.  Gary Toenniessen leads the Town’s Community Preservation Committee in addition to serving as an alternate on the Open Space Committee.

Mens Club members populate these and other Town Board and Committees as well as serve as volunteers on numerous community non-profits.
